As the end of the BRiDGE project approaches, a closing event has been organised on September 19 with the support of Lithuanian authorities bringing together researchers, policymakers and civil society representatives.

The morning started from two keynote presentations of Janet Looney (EIESP) on the project results and vision for the future, and prof. dr. Gábor Halász (ELTE) on the essential role of researchers’ knowledge brokering for raising impact of educational research on policy.

Presentations of project outputs followed, including two working papers and the guide on Interprofessional Working and Collaboration, which can be accessed here.

The afternoon session was dedicated to the fruitful discussion between panellists on the need for mediation between researchers and policymakers, looking for models of continuing funding if policy initiatives as opposed to project-based funding, and adopting positive of discourse around education.
